A Toll On Montana Agriculture

Drought, market volatility, agricultural profits shifting from the producer to corporations, and rural isolation have taken a toll on Montana agriculture. According to the Montana Department of Agriculture “Montana has ranked in the top five states for national suicide rates for the past three decades and suicide rates among agricultural producers and workers are higher than national averages.”

There is some help now for Montana farmers and ranchers, but it's high time to do more. As your representative in Congress, I will place a priority on rural health care. We need more doctors, therapists, and clinical care in rural Montana. Making sure that Montana farmers and ranchers get the help they need puts People Over Politics.
