Support for the Pittman-Robertson Act
We have to stand with everyday Montanans when it comes to access to what makes Montana great: our public lands. And we should be outraged that the wealthy are trying to take away access from the working class.
Of course real-estate developer Rep. Matt Rosendale is a co-sponsor of a bill that would remove all funding for the Pittman-Robertson Act, which generates revenue our state relies on for conservation efforts and to protect access to our public lands. This isn't about expanding the second amendment, it's about privatizing the hunt and stripping regular Montanans of our access to the outdoors. This will only make Matt and his rich friends richer.
I stand with Montana's hunters and anglers who oppose Matt's bill.
“In co-sponsoring this bill, Rep. Matt Rosendale demonstrates hostility to the conservation legacy built by American hunters. We ask that he stand up for Montana hunters and immediately withdraw his support for H.R. 8167.” - Frank Szollosi, Montana Wildlife Federation executive director.
Matt isn’t just out of touch with what regular Montanans want, he’s out to actively harm them by privatizing access to hunting and fishing.
