To Value Your Concerns

To value your concerns; to commit to delivering effective and meaningful solutions: Penny Ronning exemplifies a superb Montana Representative in US Congress.

Greetings!

Over the past few weeks, I've traveled to 19 counties, listening to and talking with people. Some of the stops have included Bozeman, Anaconda, Butte, Billings, Glendive, Sidney, Poplar, Wolf Point, Vida, Circle, Jordan, and Miles City.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • Presenting to the Ft. Peck Tribal Executive Board, Wolf Point High School students, the Montana Farmers Union Women's Conference, and the Richland County Democrats

  • Meeting with small business owners and employees

  • Learning from family farmers and ranchers about the challenges they face

  • Being interviewed on KVCK FM in Wolf Point and by The Roundup newspaper in Sidney.

In one of the conversations I had with a farmer in the town of Vida, the Conservative woman shared her concern about the struggles of family farming. With the drought we are experiencing throughout Montana, her family waits to see what type of crop they can grow, if they will be able to grow crops at all.

In Richland and Yellowstone Counties, family farmers shared about their difficulty affording fertilizer and seed and ranchers shared about their struggle to get a fair price for their animals.

Last weekend, I volunteered to judge the qualifying rounds for Speech and Debate students in Montana competing to earn a spot in the National Tournament in Kentucky. I had the opportunity to talk with and listen to a number of students and parents, teachers, business owners, government employees, and a Republican state legislator. I also spent time with Billings firefighters to discuss the increasing cancer rates in their profession and how they support one another in raising awareness to find a cure.

Including challenges within agriculture, time and again, issues that rise to the forefront affecting people in Central and Eastern Montana are poverty, drugs and resulting violence, the high cost of housing and healthcare, workforce needs, and a strong desire for politics to become less divisive.

These issues should not be political. These issues affect people from all walks of life.

Help me put people over politics. Please take a moment to donate today!

My father is a Republican and my mother is a Democrat. Politically, I am centered, and I believe this to be true of most Montanans. It will be my honor to serve as your Representative in Congress. Your support makes a difference.

Sincerely,

Penny
